Ciheb Supports Vaccine Video Production and Publicity in Nigeria

May 26, 2021

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) in Nigeria has developed two videos to help educate the public and publicize the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Ciheb in Nigeria supported NPHCDA in developing animations for the videos.

“We are proud to be a part of the initiative to help educate the public about the COVID-19 vaccination process in Nigeria,” said Kachi Anukam, ECHO[1] team lead, Ciheb in Nigeria.

One video walks the viewer through the vaccination e-registration process to secure an appointment with the NPHCDA.

The other video provides storage and handling information for four different COVID-19 vaccines: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford, and Johnson & Johnson. Currently, Nigeria has only received the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine; however, the video provides general information on all four.

[1] Project ECHO™ (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is an initiative that uses telemedicine infrastructure to link specialists with facilities in underserved areas. Ciheb in Nigeria is helping support a multi-nation ECHO telementoring project that will better equip healthcare workers to respond to increasing COVID-19 demands in remote locations.
