Site Description:
GRAS is a medical research institute in Burkina Faso, West Africa, operating in the field of human health since 2008 with a focus on clinical research. Its main offices are in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. GRAS’ mission is three-fold: 1) to design and conduct epidemiologic, operational and clinical research to identify new tools for the control of target diseases and monitor the effectiveness of existing control measures; 2) to design, implement and the monitor/evaluate health programs and projects; and, 3) to increase local research capacity by strengthening professional skills through training of young researchers and providing technical assistance to teams that conduct clinical and/or operational research. GRAS is member of many consortia which gather Academia, Pharmaceutical companies, NGOs from all around the globe, with common interests in research on infectious diseases.
