Santiago Carrero Longlax

Dr. Carrero Longlax will spend his fellowship year at Baylor College of Medicine in Mbabane, Eswatini  under the mentorship of Ntombifuthi Ginindza BsC Msc, Anna Mandalakas MD, PhD, and Daniel D Musher, MD. His research will focus on elucidating etiologies of post-tuberculosis inflammation, mortality and morbidity.

Dr. Carrero Longlax is a postdoctoral associate  at Baylor College of Medicine. He is looking to become an infectious disease doctor focusing on Global Health research.  Dr. Carrero Longlax’s training in medical school provided him the understanding of complications of multiple communicable diseases and the importance of research, which influenced his decision of becoming a researcher.
