Joshua Yudkin
Dr. Yudkin will spend his fellowship year at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic under the mentorship of Jenny Cepeda MD, MS, Janet Turan PhD, MPH, and Anna Helova DrPH, MA, MBA. His research will focus on eHealth to improve patients outcomes with metabolic disorders.
Dr. Yudkin is a postdoctoral fellow with University of Alabama at Birmingham. During the postdoctoral fellowship, his research focuses on implementing an evidence-based intervention and producing rigorous research focused on how e-Health technologies can aid our ability to prevent and treat pediatric chronic diseases like overweight, obesity, and diabetes. From Dr. Yudkin’s initial graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis through more recent opportunities as a Fulbright grantee in Colombia, he has been very interested in how we quantify socio-cultural risk and protective factors for health conditions as well as reducing the significant lag in translation.
