Site Description:  

Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) is a private, non-profit university founded in 1982 and is one of the leading private universities in the Dominican Republic. The School of Medicine consists of over 285 professionals with credentials from top US and European institutions and trains medical students who go on to practice medicine in the Dominican Republic, Latin America and the United States. UNIBE has specialized training in all areas of medicine and access to a wide-range of public and private hospitals and clinics throughout the country. UNIBE has been the best ranked university in the Dominican Republic since 2018. Since its inception, the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) has set itself the goal of being the national benchmark in academic research. 

UNIBE has a viceprovost for research and innovation leading specialized research centers with a multidisciplinary approach, including the Institute for Tropical Medicine and Global Health (IMTSAG), Center for Research in Biomaterials and Dentistry (CIBO), Neuroscience and Psychophysiology Laboratory (NeuroLab), and the center for Behavioural Studies and Intervention (CESIC). Some of this centers are located in the state-of-the-art UNIBE Research Hub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
